**Job Description**

The Customer Service Representatives responsibilities are to work directly with Gypsum Express customers to accept or decline loads, based on truck location, schedules, and revenue, determining and deciding pick up times, delivery times, determining transit times, and working with the various customer websites to accept or decline loads based on schedules and destinations.

**Responsibilities:**

* Contact established Gypsum customers on a daily basis soliciting freight, based on truck availability. Makes decisions to accept loads based on ship point, destination, amount of revenue on shipment, and truck locations.

* Contacts shippers in person, or by website, decides proper pick up schedules based on when trucks will be empty, distance from pick up, type of equipment, and date.

* Contacts receivers in person or by website, determines proper delivery schedules based on length of haul, hours of service, receivers times and/or windows for accepting delivery.

* Works within shippers various load tendering systems and websites to accept load tenders, and makes decisions on accepted loads based on destinations and schedules.

* Determines transit times based on load distances by using company provided mileage programs.

* Processes driver paperwork into the Gypsum payroll and billing system, including opening pay envelopes, sorting, scanning, indexing paperwork.

* Manages any missing paperwork from drivers, contacts drivers and customers to retrieve originals or copies of paperwork to ensure payment to Gypsum.

* If customers do not have loads, uses self established contact lists as well as automated load boards to retrieve loads for empty trucks, based on location, revenue, destination, and equipment type.

* Sorts daily load lists by carrier and presents to upper management daily.
