**Job Description**

We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to assist the Inventory Team with counting and maintaining an accurate inventory system, while monitoring inventory policies and procedures to verify accuracy and compliance with Food Bank record keeping. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

**Key areas of responsibility include:**

* Perform daily, monthly, and annual cycle counts

* Ensure that all stock and inventory items are received, maintained and properly recorded in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, standards and program guidelines

* Work directly with Inventory Control team regarding product movement

* Investigate return orders and credit memos related to returned product

* Perform inventory counts on pick level bins and backstock

* Investigate inventory discrepancies and report possible adjustment as needed

* Correct ties and waterfalling, phantom pallets, trash and debris

* Maintain accurate records of all inventory counts, returns, credits, and adjusted inventory and maintain paper files as needed

* Ensure proper movement of cold storage product and clearing aisles

* Utilize barcoding hardware/software

* Read and understand stock sheets

* Compile and present inventory related data and reports to Inventory team for effective decision making and process improvement

* Communicate results and make recommendations for improvement

* Report survey and research project findings

**Supervision**

May supervise volunteers as assigned

**Qualifications**

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

* Basic math skills

* Must have some database management skills

* Understanding of complex inventory systems

* Experience with Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook

* Must be able to Pass a Stand-up Forklift Test

* Ability to speak effectively before groups of people

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Previous Warehouse or Grocery experience

* Previous experience supervising Volunteers

* Previous experience with inventory management systems including reconciliation

**Employment Requirements**

* Negative Drug Screen

* Successful Background Clearance

* Successful Completion of Forklift Training provided by RRFB

**Physical Environment**

Primary work is in a warehouse environment

Employee can be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures.

Frequent lifting of up to 100 lbs is required

Required to pull in excess of 1000 lbs with a pallet jack

Required to handle individual pieces of produce and use senses to determine the quality of product.

The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
