Position Overview This position is responsible for ins talling all types of ins u l ation in various applications. The Ins u l ation Ins taller I will learn from other technicians on ins tallation methods, take direction from the field supervisor as well as follow manufacturer directions and warranty requirements on all ins talled products.
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Essential Job Duties - Follow ins tructions regarding ins tallation of ins u l ation materials.
- Work with other ins tallers to ins tall ins u l ation products as assigned and trained.
- Responsible for ins tallation of more basic ins u l ation products.
- Follow manufacturer directions and warranty requirements when ins talling products.
- Track time and materials as required for each ins tallation project.
- Maintain all equipment in good working order and report any malfunctions to Supervisor .
- Operates all equipment in safe and responsible manner.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Provide quality customer service.
- Attend all training to learn new technology of building materials and ins tallation methods as required by location management.
- Cross-train in other areas to expand knowledge and expertise .
- Retain an awareness of the work environment critical to the task at hand to produce error free and damage free results.
- Comply with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
- Maintain awareness of and follow safety standards/protocol for construction jobsites.
- Communicate with Ins taller II or Supervisors immediately on any issues related to the assigned job including questions, delays, inaccurate materials, inoperative equipment, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Minimum education required - High school education and/or equivalent work experience. Ability to read/follow ins tructions, write, and perform basic algebra.
- Minimum experience required - construction experience preferred.
- Special skills required -Read and use a knife, tape, hammer tacker and other required tools for complete ins tallation.
- Must have good interpersonal skills, verbal and written skills and the ability to provide and/or follow detailed ins tructions.
- Physical demands include standing on feet 6+ hours/day, wal king through out yar d s, plants and offices, regularly lifting 50 pounds, frequently lifting up to 100 pounds, and working from tall heights on ladders or in tight spaces.
- Ability to drive box trucks and get DOT med card.
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
- Available for overtime as needed.
