Area Sales Manager - CA
Compensation range $120k - 130k+ OTE
Chem Arrow's Area Sales Manager ensures order and revenue growth of company's products and services to assigned customer and prospect accounts by analyzing and meeting customer needs, developing and implementing sales plans and by selling products and providing customer support in an assigned geographic territory. This position assumes responsibility for providing technical sales support, in conjunction with local distributors, to develop and maintain customers. He/she assumes responsibility for technical assistance and involvement of the distributor in all facets of the marketing process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sells new accounts by promoting Chem Arrow's full product range to prospective customers in assigned territory
Develops and maintains good relationships with assigned distributors and customers including frequent joint sales/service calls made to customers with distributor sales personnel
Provides technical assistance and training for customers and distributors in the selection, application, and maintenance of products (including distributor sales meetings and in-plant seminars)
Run trials and creates proposals for new and existing customers
Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers
Analyzes territory/market potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers
Services existing accounts ensuring fluids are running at optimum levels
Develops and maintains relationships with end user customers and distributors and understands regional competitors
Maintains close contact with Director of Sales regarding account activity, customer needs, prices, competitor activity, and Chem Arrow product acceptability
Maintains eChempax CRM outlining activities and sales funnel
Maintains good expense control in line with Chem Arrow's policy within his or her assigned region
Complies with the Chem Arrow's policies in respect to travel, expenses, and all reporting functions
Works with the technical department to problem solve issues in the field
Establishes test sites to help facilitate R&D process
REQUIREMENTS
Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
Good Communication and people skills
Works independently and as part of a team
In depth knowledge of product line
Determination and drive to work towards achieving a preset goal
Proficient in Microsoft Office software 2003 or higher (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Education & work experience requirements
BA degree from an accredited university
3-5 years of related work experience in a similar position
Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, and sitting, and occasional climbing and kneeling
