Job Details

Crisis Coordinator manages and directs the crisis response team to ensure quality services are provided. Develops and implements a continuum of crisis care and prevention, program administration and public relations. Utilize leadership skills to foster positive staff engagement.
Position is based in Maxwelton, WV.

Master's degree and professional license (LGSW, LCSW, LICSW, LP/SP, LPC or AADC) and experience in behavioral health required. Supervision (administrative and clinical) experience required. Valid driver's license and vehicle required. Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Employment Fitness Determination through WVCARES and a drug screen.

Knowledge of mental illness/substance abuse symptomology and crisis intervention. Able to represent Seneca in a positive manner i.e. maintaining a positive attitude/performing duties in a manner in accordance with Seneca's Mission & Code of Conduct/Ethical Practices. Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer skills required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Recruits, interviews, recommends for hire, provides orientation and training, clinical and administrative supervision, and evaluates performance of crisis team.
  2. Directs the day-to-day operations of the crisis response team.
  3. Schedules staff work hours to assure 24/7 coverage.
  4. Provides training and education to community partners and team.
  5. Implements a continuum of crisis care and prevention within Seneca's 4-county area.
  6. Models and ensures staff follow Seneca Code of Conduct & Ethical Practices.
  7. Maintain knowledge of all policies and procedures and program manuals; ensure staff are in compliance.
  8. Develops and maintains program procedures.
  9. Initiates and maintains relationships with law enforcement and other human service agencies.
  10. Submits for authorization of services to funding source.
  11. Maintains on-call coverage and serves as part of the crisis response team.
  12. Supervises the completion of documentation including assessments, authorizations, daily meeting log, progress notes, treatment summaries & reports problems to supervisor.
  13. Assure quality service for clients by becoming knowledgeable of and adhering to rules, regulations and legal requirements and by documenting services provided in accordance with established standards; secure information by adhering to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations and Seneca privacy policies.
  14. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
