Sr. Electrical Engineer - Electric Vehicle Power

Delta Electronics (Americas) - Livonia, MI



Essential Responsibilities:

  • Understand OEM s system requirements, create system requirement documentation (SRD) and component specification.
  • Lead design analysis, including of DFMEA, WCCA and functional safety.
  • Conduct electrical hands-on work in lab and in field.
  • Lead RFI/RFQ technical proposal with engineering assumptions, commercial impact assessment and product demonstrations.
  • Facilitate design review and regular meetings with customers and global design teams.
  • Develop local product test capabilities and conduct test in a local engineering lab.
  • Support vehicle integration and resolve quality issues.
  • Coordinate and support production field application issue resolution.


Essential Requirements:

  • BS, MS degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 6+ years of experience with design or applications engineering experience on power electronics products, preferably in automotive power module design and release experience.
  • Good understanding of product development process.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic power products. High voltage, high power experience preferred. Training will be provided.
  • Good verbal and writing communication skills in English. Chinese language skill is helpful.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and activities.
  • Strong team coordination skills.
