Herndon ReStore Warehouse/Sales AssociateHabitat for Humanity of Washington, D.C. & Northern Virginia (Habitat DC-NOVA) seeks a hardworking individual to join our team as a ReStore Warehouse/Sales Associate at our ReStore in Herndon, Virginia. The ReStore Warehouse/Sales Associate will be scheduled to work Monday - Friday and on some Saturdays.The ReStore Warehouse/Sales Associate is an important member of the ReStore team helping to maximize sales while providing excellent customer service and donor assistance. You can learn more about our work at habitatdcnova.org.Essential Duties Engage donors and customers in a helpful and respectful manner with a positive attitudeDemonstrate understanding of policies and procedures for safety protocols for all staff assignments as well as the loading / unloading and organization of merchandiseGuarantee integrity and accuracy while processing customer financial transactions through the register following established procedures for each typeCommunicate with Donations Coordinator for screening for acceptability of donations when donors call or bring in donations following established guidelinesPerform daily cleaning and organization of all areas, in and around the ReStore, to be best displayed and free and clear of safety hazardsMaintain an effective working relationship with Habitat staff, volunteers and homeowners, as well as ReStore customers and donorsOversee volunteers as needed, making their experience meaningfulAnswer telephone and providing ReStore information, directions, meeting the caller's needsOperate a forklift and scissor lift if neededParticipate in store meetings and training sessions as required by ReStore ManagerOther duties as assigned by ReStore Manager.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the individual(s) assigned to this position.
