Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Manage and maintain project financials, overseeing budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with tech product owners and project managers to develop project budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze project financial performance, identifying and documenting variances.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and distribute regular financial reports to leadership, highlighting key metrics, variances, and trends.
- Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with technical product managers and project managers to provide financial guidance and support.
- Effectively communicate financial information, building strong relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in financial management.
- Streamline financial processes, enhance data accuracy and integrity, leveraging technology tools for optimization.
- Project Governance:
- Maintain project governance processes and standards, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies and best practices.
- Develop and implement project management policies, procedures, and templates.
- Resource Management:
- Assist in resource allocation and capacity planning.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure appropriate resource availability and utilization.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct quality reviews and audits to ensure compliance with project management standards.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- PMO Support:
- Provide administrative and operational support to the PMO.
- Maintain project management tools, templates, and repositories.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the PMO.
- PMO Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and complete project documentation.
- Maintain PMO governance frameworks and controls.
Qualifications/Skill set: - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in financial management software and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are a plus.
- Proven experience in project management or PMO roles.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
