Production Specialist

Overview:

Stanberry Research is looking for a Production Specialist who will be able to use their creative and technical skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The Production Specialist (PS) will be an integral member of our Editorial Department. Using graphic design and coding principles, the PS will be responsible for laying out e-mails and static web pages using HTML/CSS and newsletters using Adobe InDesign. The PS may also work with analysts to create charts and graphics.

Were looking for candidates that thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and excellent time-management skills. The ideal candidate will also have strong communication and organizational skills. We are willing to train the right candidate on the necessary tools needed to be successful in this role but a strong background in production, layout, and HTML coding is highly desired.

This position will report to the Senior Managing Editor and Executive Editor.



Responsibilities:
  • Lay out and update online content in WordPress using HTML and CSS
  • Create newsletter layouts using Adobe InDesign and Dreamweaver
  • Work with editorial team to incorporate edits in the proofreading process
  • Schedule e-mailings
  • Lay out daily e-letters using HTML
  • Set up daily mailings in Exact Target


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Graphic Design/Visual Design or equivalent
  • 0-3 years professional production/desktop publishing experience
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Resourceful and able to troubleshoot issues
  • Fundamental understanding of HTML/CSS concepts
  • Must be adept at handling multiple deadlines and managing priorities
  • Proficiency with Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe InDesign
  • Willingness to work occasional evening hours as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Exact Target, SalesForce, WordPress, content management systems
  • Experience using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • General understanding of proofreading marks and AP Style
