Production Designer - Full time

We are looking for a production designer who is excited to grow our production team and be an integral part of designing and manufacturing products everyday. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and produce products that deliver the company's vision and strategy.

We are looking to hire a Production Designer to join our team. As a member of the Buttonsmith Production team, you will help make what you design! In this hands-on position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Graphic design and layout of products such as business cards, signs, banners and buttons
  • Copy editing and printing customer orders for personalized products
  • Operation of equipment such as digital printing presses, die-cutters, heat-presses, industrial sewing machines
  • Packaging and preparing finished products for shipping
  • Using order management and related software

Requirements

Job-Specific Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of practical, hands-on graphic design and layout experience
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Project management experience
  • Prior experience in printing and/or manufacturing operations is preferred
  • Copy-editing experience is a plus
  • Ability to read/speak Spanish fluently would be a plus
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required; college degree is strongly preferred

General Requirements

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Able to operate equipment, performing repetitive operations, often while standing, up to 8 hours per day
  • Able to lift 55 pounds and to maneuver in tight awkward spaces
  • Available to work overtime as required to meet surges in customer demand
