What You ll Get to Do:

You will support NAVSEA in the areas of deck and mission systems, including cranes, ramps, hatches, winches, mooring, and boat handling systems. You will perform

early-stage concept formulation, modeling and simulation, advanced control systems design, man/hardware-in-the-loop simulator development, prototype preliminary design, and oversee laboratory and at-sea testing.

You ll Bring These Qualifications:

PHD in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college20+ years of experience with ship deck systemsExperience using simulation software including Simulink and MatLabExperience with Active Motion-Compensation TechnologyDemonstrated ability to lead a group of engineers on a projectExperience with Military Sealift Command shipsUS

Citizen with a Secret Clearance or Secret Clearance eligibilityDemonstrated ability to communicate clearly in English

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:CAD modeling experienceExperience utilizing US Navy Deck Systems design standardsExperience with Naval combatants
