Plant Maintenance Supervisor

Our client is looking for a Plant Maintenance Supervisor.

This is a hands-on role leading, directing and assisting maintenance technicians in activities to ensure maximum equipment utilization. Meet Safety/5S goals, targeted key performance indicators, cost/budgets, manpower and established procedures. You will be an integral part of the staff as we move forward.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carry out responsibilities by applying and maintaining a culture of ethics and integrity in accordance with the values and standards of the company s Code of Conduct and Compliance Management System
  • Adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements, ensuring employees and contractors are compliant
  • Direct multi-craft technicians to ensure equipment runs at highest efficiency
  • Troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment to detect problems for repair
  • Obtain quotes for labor, tooling, parts and equipment to support plant requirements
  • Organize work to ensure health, safety and environmental is priority
  • Plan and report preventative maintenance
  • Plan and manage maintenance for buildings, production lines, equipment, utilities
  • Coordinate equipment installation, rebuild, retrofit, repair
  • Manage spare parts inventory and storage economically, to highest level of 5S
  • Prepare and verify purchasing requests for maintenance materials
  • Evaluate maintenance team skills and organize training accordingly
  • Improve metrics in mean time between failure and mean time to repair

Qualifications (knowledge, skills and abilities)

  • Associates or higher degree preferred
  • 5 years previous industrial maintenance leadership in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be skilled in PLCs (Siemens), electrical, mechanical, hydraulics
  • Ability to troubleshoot and /or diagnose PLC controlled equipment
  • Knowledge and use of continuous improvement processes
  • Project management
  • Facilities maintenance
