Position Description: The Director of Instruction is a senior leadership position that is responsible for the academic programs at Delmarva Christian Schools. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and willing to look outside traditional teaching methods to keep the school on the leading edge of learning opportunities. This position will be responsible for all aspects of curricular development and will lead the school in the implementation of continued growth of our innovative learning programs. *The start date of this position will be the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year. Requirements Qualifications: - Vibrant, growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ - Agreement with our statement of faith - Excitement for the mission of Delmarva Christian High School - Bachelor's degree with 3 years teaching experience required - Innovative educational leadership experience and master's degree in curriculum development preferred - Strong technical skills including use of a learning management system and curriculum mapping software Responsibilities: - Academic Oversight - Oversee the school's academic programs - Set high expectations for teachers - Provide frequent evaluation and feedback for teachers - Oversee development and maintenance of curriculum - Monitor testing and work with teachers to close gaps - Provide consistent professional development opportunities for teachers - Home Centered Education Oversight - Strengthen relationship with the home school community - Oversee part time student academic progress - Work to move part time students to full time status - Remote Learning Program Oversight - Management and growth of university partnerships - Management and growth on online high school course options - Administration of student enrollment in partner programs - Conversion of student grades into DCHS student information system - Management of financial components of program to ensure that costs are covered with the goal of turning a profit - Implementation of educational technology - Train teachers to use software programs to build a blended learning environment - Train and support teachers to use RenWeb and Google Classroom - Evaluate develop and use of best methods for educational technology in the classroom - Assist teachers in locating online resources to enhance learning - Develop best methods for management of the iPad in the classroom - Other duties as assigned; may include teaching requirement and oversight of international student program
