JOB SUMMARY

The Corporate Paralegal (CP) supports the Company's legal department.In this unique role, the CP will spend time in three (3) key areas:Legal research, OFCCP / EEO, and supporting employment law resources.Specifically, this position will handle day-to-day attorney support, document preparation, drafting EEO / mediation and other responses, reporting and data gathering.

The ideal candidate has exceptional research skills, grasps information quickly, has familiarity with EEO / OFCCP and employment law, is curious, enjoys gathering data and has a passion for making positive change.Those with a results-oriented disposition, work well with others and understand the importance of alignment to business objectives in a professional environment are preferred.

Core Duties Include:
  • Monitoring legislative issues of importance by researching via Internet, periodicals and other relevant resources; reporting to assigning legal team member on results of such research.
  • Research various matters (legal or otherwise), as needed.
  • Creating, drafting, editing and modifying all correspondence, memoranda, notes, outlines, legal documents, charts, forms, etc., whether from written drafts, originals or other.
  • Establishing, maintaining and has control over all client, attorney or other legal files; independently reorganizes files and anticipates need for reorganization or expansion.
  • Exercising independent judgment in determining priority levels of all work assigned on a daily basis.Assure high priority items are completed in a timely manner.
  • Administrative tasks associated with legal matters to include Employee detail verification, payroll / AP requests, and similar.
  • Works with HR leadership related to EEO Program to include responding to and preparing documents in compliance with policies, state and federal regulations, recent court decisions, and due process obligations.
  • Drafts EEO responses; may prepare EEO compliance reports and monitoring.
  • Assists with creation, maintenance and management of various databases; generates reports from such databases.
  • Performs other Paralegal duties, as required; handles special projects, as assigned; manages files and performs administrative duties, as needed; supports Legal Department, as needed.

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

    Basic Qualifications
    • US Citizenship,preferred.
    • At least 18 years of age
    Education / Experience
    • Associate degree or equivalent, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent
    • At least two (2) years' experience working as aParalegal.
    • Preferred Experience:
    • At least one year working with Employment law
    • At least two (2) years' experience with & EEO / OFCCP and other compliance-based work
    Background Prerequisites

    Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensingrequirements.
