Job Description: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for making sure that all bills are paid in an efficient and timely manner. This includes ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, as well as monitoring expenses. The A/P Specialist plays an integral role in helping the company meet its profitability goals by maintaining systems, procedures, and policies. The role is crucial for maintaining strong vendor relationships, optimizing cash flow, and ensuring financial transactions comply with legal and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Processing invoices Reconciling payments Auditing credit card bills and processing their payments Bank account reconciliations Maintaining accurate and complete records of all payable transactions Coordinating with procurement and receiving departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and disputes Interacting with vendors, management, and other departments to verify payment details Negotiating prices with vendors including taking advantage of early payment discounts Preparing and analyzing cash flow forecasts in relation to accounts payable Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in accounting or related fields. Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist role in an accounting department. Thorough knowledge of accounts payable functions, systems, and best practices. High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability. Proficient in accounting software and systems. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
