At Persona, we are rewriting the rules of digital advertising using the power of blockchain. Founded in 2022, we are a seed-stage company backed by some of the best VCs, and the founding team has experience scaling multi-billion-dollar businesses at Amazon and LinkedIn.


This role is a unique opportunity to be a core member of a super-fast-paced and highly ambitious startup environment. As we launch a new and innovative ad product, we're seeking someone to help take our product to market and scale it to $10M in ad sales within the next 12 months.


About the Role:

You will be the second business hire at Persona and will work directly with the founders to craft the go-to-market strategy of a brand-new ad type that will revolutionize the digital advertising space. You will be our one-person-wrecking-machine, finding early design partners to take the product to market, and simultaneously building the playbook for repeatable sales motion and scaling the product to $10M in the next 12 months.

We need someone who has strong opinions and is not shy about voicing them. If there s a new vertical we should be looking at or a large customer we should be getting in front of, you will have the autonomy to make it happen. What does success look like in the first 3 months?

Take the new ad product to the market with the first set of design partners. Given that we re operating a two-sided ad network, you ll need to find partners on both the advertising side and the publishing side.


What does success look like in your first year?

Get us to $10M ad sales and define the playbook to scale this 10x. You will have the opportunity to grow your team as we scale.


Requirements:

  • Reside in or be willing to relocate to the SF Bay Area.
  • Deep strategic thinking: Ability to strategically navigate the nuances of the go-to-market strategy for a new product line.
  • Building partnerships: Exceptional at building relationships and onboarding design partners, even in the early stages when the product is still taking shape.
  • Experience building and managing sales pipeline: Creative at sales and proven experience building pipelines. Capable of figuring out how to get in front of almost anyone. Cold outreach is not beneath you, and you understand that hearing "no" 9 times out of 10 is part of the game.
  • Action-oriented mindset: Embrace a bias toward action and a "get-it-done" mentality, prioritizing execution over analysis.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding quotas with exceptional communication and follow-up skills.
  • Highly ambitious and doesn't scare easily.
  • Good to have: Understanding of Web3 basics and ad networks.
