About us
A 76-year-old independent property & casualty claims adjusting company serving the US Southeast Region. We are looking for an experienced casualty claims adjuster to join our Nashville, TN office. As a Senior Casualty Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving complex automobile accidents, property damage, and bodily injury claims.
All applicants must have at least 5 years of field experience in handling general liability claims. This is not a desk-adjusting position.
Applicants must have primary residence within the state of Tennessee. Out-of-state applicants will be rejected.
Compensation corresponding to experience.
Responsibilities
- Investigate claims to determine liability and scope of damages
- Conduct interviews with witnesses, policyholders, and third-party claimants
- Use in-depth knowledge of insurance policies to evaluate coverage and determine appropriate compensation
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of claims and payments
- Negotiate settlements with claimants or their legal representatives
- Work closely with other departments, such as legal and medical, to gather information related to claims
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all claims-related activities
Requirements:
- This is a field adjusting position
- Must reside within the state of Tennessee and able to commute to Nashville office daily
- Minimum 5 years casualty claims adjusting experience
- Extremely dependable and self-motivated
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prepare full captioned reports
- Current Kentucky State Adjuster s License
- Strong Planning and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license & reliable method of transportation
- Good knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, digital camera and/or smartphone, digital recorder
- Prior independent experience is preferred
- Experience in writing detailed reports
- A compassionate and resilient personality
- High school diploma.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
