A Contract-to-Hire Soldering Technician is available in Beaverton, OR courtesy of Modis Engineering. This is an amazing opportunity for a for a graduate from an electronics technology program or Physics grad to begin their career by joining our company as a Production Assembler / Operator.
Rate: $24.00- $25.00/hour
Job Duties:
- Learn how to operate the automated calibration stations and take in the knowledge from a mentor.
- Learn company products and systems and train under long-tenured technician to grow into electronics repair position.
- Prepare the production area at the start of shift
- Follow computer automated test procedures
- Run multiple test stations for the duration of the shift
- Accurately complete test records
Requirements:
- Must have High School diploma or GED.
- Soldering experience.
- Experience with Soldering Tools such as irons, hot-air stations, preheaters, solder suckers etc.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to follow written procedures, directions and instructions.
- Excellent attention-to detail skills.
- Experienced in the use of basic hand tools including drivers, wrenches and cutting tools.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, with basic level of experience in Excel.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted as required.
- Candidate must be willing to work overtime as required to meet workload demands.
- Mechanical aptitude.
