Process Technician


Job Details

Must Haves:

  • Custom machine assembly experience
  • Electrical testing-voltage and continuity testing skills using a multi-meter
  • Valid Driver s License
  • Ideally located within 30-40 minutes of Oostburg, WI (not mandatory, but desirable)
  • 2+ years of relevant experience, including electromechanical assembly or service on custom machinery (experience with stainless steel machinery is preferred)
  • Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, troubleshooting electrical wiring, and resolving mechanical issues


Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Flexible based on departmental needs. Travel may be required and can be flexible.)


The Process Technician is a pivotal role on our client s team, responsible for running and setting up machinery, conducting maintenance practices, and ensuring positive customer experiences with their custom machines. This multifaceted position demands a deep understanding of safety, machine operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, customer relations, and cross-functional skills.


Tasks/ Activities

1. Safety:

  • Follow company safety standards and guidelines in compliance with OSHA and other safety agencies.
  • Complete required safety training and adhere to safety practices at our client s company.

Accountability (Output): The Process Technician must understand and comply with workplace safety standards, promoting adherence among team members

2. Machine Operation:

  • Receive daily instructions, demonstrating flexibility in managing changing schedules.
  • Understand project specifications related to machine settings.
  • Set up and run machines efficiently according to the schedule.
  • Monitor machines for unusual operations and document discrepancies.

Accountability (Output): The Process Technician will run machines daily, practicing quality electrical and mechanical skills while maintaining detailed machine logs for scheduled projects and output.

3. Troubleshooting:

  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems using standard operating procedures.
  • Solve problems efficiently to minimize machine downtime.

Accountability (Output): The Process Technician needs problem-solving skills to address electrical and mechanical issues, reporting and tracking identified problems in daily logs.

4. Maintenance:

  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all machines.
  • Understand proper machine maintenance methods.
  • Document preventive maintenance per customer guidelines and schedule.
  • Conduct maintenance efficiently.

Accountability (Output): The Process Technician should possess in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, ensuring efficient practices and meticulous documentation in machine logs.


5. Customer Relations:

  • Take support calls and provide assistance based on available resources.
  • Respond to customer inquiries with technical support and machine-specific assistance.
  • Ensure quality technical support aligning with our client s standards and policies.
  • Understand customer wants, needs, requirements, and concerns.
  • Provide training to customers either on-site or at our client s headquarters.

Accountability (Output): The Process Technician will maintain regular communication with customers, offering high-quality technical support through various channels and providing training tailored to customer needs.

6. Professional Development:

  • Understand processes in Project Management, Engineering, and Sales.
  • Participate in cross-training for various functions.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams.
  • Participate in problem-solving for issues beyond routine tasks.

Accountability (Output): The Process Technician should collaborate seamlessly with different departments, offering valuable insights and feedback to enhance overall company operations.
