Field Service Tomball, Texas Department **Field Service** Minimum Experience **Senior Manager/Supervisor** This position is for the management and coordination efforts between three divisions of field labor with a total of 15-40 field installation employees. Field Service Manager must coordinate all field personnel and service schedules on a daily basis. In addition to directing support services and ensuring complete client satisfaction, he/she will handle service contracts and ensure that departmental guidelines and policies are aligned to facilitate efficient service delivery. This position requires the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics/drawings. Ability to coordinate the installation of control panels, instrumentation, industrial networking, security systems, fire alarm systems, wiring.

JOB DUTIES

*Essential Duties*

* Organize, prioritize, and oversee all daily activity involved within the Field Service Department

* Set goals, lead, and direct to accomplish goals and objectives established by management

* Implement programs to improve service speed, accuracy, quality, and client satisfaction

* Ensure service level agreement (SLA) timelines for installs and maintenance are met

* Assist in new vendor negotiations and labor budgeting for quoting new projects as needed

* Resolve any escalated issues, and coordinate with other departments as needed

* Participate actively in weekly Projects Review Meeting

* Collect and file daily service reports by Field Service Technicians

* Manage all end-of-the-month work in process to ensure all jobs are closed and billed

* Proficiency with all manufacturers' warranty policies; Process all warranty filings

* Help expand and enforce the company's safety program

* Monitor and expand usage of GPS/clocking (TeleNav) program, tracking of tools, fuel use, and material used

* Routinely inspect service vehicles to ensure they remain in good running condition, clean, and organized in accordance with policy and maintaining a positive company image

* Responsible for hiring and developing a skilled workforce to meet current and forecasted business needs for the Service Department

* Conduct monthly service-related meetings with all technicians which include safety topics

* Maintain up-to-date records for Field Service Technician evaluations and training opportunities

* Analyze Technician utilization and performance via reports run on a daily/weekly/monthly basis

* Review, approve and track Field Service Technicians' timesheets, expenses and overtime requests on a weekly basis based on job expectations

* Ensure Technicians are coding time properly

* Distribute all-new written policies to appropriate employees for signatures and turn into Office Manager for personnel files

* Analyzes and report project profitability, revenue margins, resource utilization

* Responsible for tools/equipment inventory and budget

* Other duties, as assigned, within ability and responsibility level of the job

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

* This position requires you to be able to lift and load heavy pieces of equipment, climb ladders, and stand for most of the day, bending, stooping.

* Work with tools, withstand hot and cold temperatures for outside labor.

WORKING CONDITIONS

* Office atmosphere to complete organization tasks & documentation.

* Daily travel in the field as required.

* Field environment; construction, and treatment plants.

* Safety equipment; hard hats, boots, safety vests, and eye-protective gear

* May be required to work overtime as needed by customer or project requirements.

* Travel as required by the project.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

* High School Diploma and/or equivalent

* Prior Management experience is required

* 3-5+ years of low-voltage electrical related experience required

* Must qualify for or hold CCST/Security/Fire licensing

* 3-5+ years of Low-Voltage Fire/Security related experience a plus

* B.S. in Controls Engineering or Electrical Engineers a plus

SKILLS & ABILITIES

* Integrity, strong worth ethic, and ability to focus on details while also seeing the big picture

* Strong interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and work across the organization

* Able to read and interpret maintenance and repair manuals and manufacturing drawings

* Mechanical aptitude with a strong understanding of sales and business accounting

* Previous experience with forecasting revenue and expense

* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word is required

* Strong Managerial skills in time management, highly organized, electrical/technical background, ability to communicate well with customers & employees

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

* Candidate must have a Texas valid drivers license and insurance

* Have or be able to obtain a Security & Fire License

* Have or be able to obtain a TWIC *(Transportation Workers Identification Card)*
