The below job description provides details on how this role will help to serve our clients.Job DescriptionThe Red Gate Group is seeking a Secret cleared Media Operations Officer to join us in Tampa, FL, supporting the Central Command Public Affairs Directorate (CCPA) where you will play a pivotal role in shaping communication strategies for one of the most critical commands in the U.S. military.As a Media Operations Officer, you will be at the forefront of media engagement, ensuring CENTCOM's message resonates effectively with diverse audiences. You'll research, write, and coordinate responses to media queries, providing critical support during crisis situations and high operational demands.Key Responsibilities:Research, write, and coordinate draft communication products, including public affairs guidance, responses to queries, and talking points.Conduct daily conference calls with public affairs counterparts to synchronize messaging strategies.Provide media training expertise to senior CENTCOM leaders and designated spokespersons, preparing them for media engagements.Plan and execute periodic public affairs briefings, coordinating media embeds for events involving key CENTCOM leadership.Support emergent 24/7 shift surge requirements during crises or unforeseen events as directed by the CCPA Director.QualificationsRequired Skills/Qualifications:Active Secret ClearanceProficiency in media communications, crisis communications, and dissemination techniques.Ability to research, write, and coordinate responses to media queries efficiently and concisely.Knowledge of global outreach dissemination techniques and social media applications.Knowledge of the requirements for writing effective and timely public affairs guidance, responses to query, talking points, or other appropriate communication products on key issues pertaining to the CENTCOM AOR.Familiarity with Associated Press (AP) Style, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint.Excellent communication, briefing, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.Understanding of the U.S. military structure, culture, and language.Desired Skills/Qualifications:TS/SCI ClearancePrevious public affairs experience and educational background in communications, public affairs/relations, journalism, or related fields.Accreditation in Public Relations is a plus.Experience supporting 24/7 shift operations is advantageous.Additional InformationThe Red Gate Group, Ltd. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
