Position Summary:

As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our mission, leading procurement efforts to ensure efficiency, compliance, and contribute directly to groundbreaking technologies. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our procurement process, administering and processing requisitions, requests for quotes/proposals, purchase orders, and received items. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to drive our procurement operations forward, ensuring that we acquire goods and services efficiently while upholding quality, cost, and compliance standards. Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Own assigned procurement categories for department and project work packages.
  • Act as the collaborative procurement owner for procurement categories such as, but limited to particle accelerator systems, isotope production facilities activities/systems, non-production facilities, lab testing sites, project management, operations, IT, regulatory affairs, quality, supply chain, manufacturing, product development, and more.
  • Meet with project stakeholders to go over budget, open orders, anticipated orders, sourcing, contract negotiations, vendor relationships, and general procurement issues.
  • Initiate and process new requisitions, request for quote/proposal, and purchase orders.
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
  • Identify new suppliers of goods and services.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers.
  • Solve procurement related issues and escalate as appropriate.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and collect necessary information such as bank and tax documents to add them to the approved supplier list.
  • Collect, organize, and file documentation such as approvals, order confirmations, quotes, receipts, and other documents in correct cloud database folders.
  • Collaborate with the legal department regarding vendor terms to ensure any contractual obligations are agreeable on behalf of the company before executing any contracts.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures including bid policy, P2P policy, quality policy, etc.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of purchasing experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work.
  • Great interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced and fast-growing team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with purchasing category for biotech, pharmaceutical industries, lab equipment, and/or development & engineering, research, collaborating with engineers and/or scientists.
  • Ability to travel to our Valencia, CA at least once a year for company events.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a supply chain related field.
  • Professional certifications related to the field of supply chain (CSCP, Six-Sigma, etc.)
  • Experience using ERP systems, such as SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor.
  • Experience with contracts such as but not limited to custom manufacturing, SaaS, IT, construction, biopharma, service agreements, fixed price commodity agreements, rental, lease agreements are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be comfortable working in a facility that produces radiation for site visits on occasions.
  • Work to be conducted on-site in an office environment located in Salt Lake City, UT.
  • Work to be conducted in both an office environment and the production facility.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Frequent use of computer with repetitive use of keyboard, mouse, and manual dexterity.

Posted Salary Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $100,000.00 /Yr.
