A. General Description:As Director, Sales and Corporate Partnerships, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy for Corporate Partnerships and sales to drive non-dues revenue and foster mutually beneficial relationships for the association, members, and organizations. ASHA's Corporate Partnership program is a marketing agreement between ASHA and the commercial entity. The position fosters and manages commercial relationships to maximize the value of saleable assets, ASHA marks and logos, and other exposure opportunities. The position coaches staff and oversees the management and sale of sponsorships, mailing lists, product advertising, and Organizational Sales of ASHA Professional Development. This position is responsible for managing the annual budget.B. Responsibilities:Sales Strategy and Planning: Formulate and implement a strategic plan for sales and corporate partnerships. Collaborate on pricing strategies, product launches, and market positioning. Provide insight and advice on emerging trends to drive marketing and sales excellence, share competitive market information, and support strategic deal closures.Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations, structure partnership agreements, and ensure compliance with established terms. Manage ongoing relationships to maximize value for both parties.Cross-functional Collaboration: Lead efforts to educate staff, volunteers, and organizations on the mutual benefits of integrating corporate partnerships into organizational initiatives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet mutually desired goals. Liaison and include Career Management Services staff in the selling process.Revenue generation: Meet or exceed revenue targets through the development and execution of innovative programs.Stakeholder engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing organizations and companies, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and involvement.Coaching: Lead a motivated team and ensure employees have the support and resources needed to be successful in accomplishing their goals. Foster collaboration to maximize sales efforts.C. Contacts:The incumbent reports directly to the Chief Marketing and Sales Officer. The incumbent's internal contacts include the CEO, the Marketing and Sales cluster, Practices, Convention and Meetings, Finance, ASHA Professional Development, Digital Communications, Creative Media, and other internal staff associated with products and services. Primary external contacts include corporate CEOs, marketing vice presidents, program directors and other buyers, vendors, consultants, and contractors.D. Freedom to Act:The incumbent receives broad direction and objectives and is given wide latitude to determine approaches, procedures, and methodology to accomplish work responsibilities. Performs/completes activities individually and in a team environment.E. Qualifications - Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills:Knowledge and skills typically acquired through:Bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in sales, marketing or related areas preferred.Proven track record of successfully developing and managing corporate partnerships including 7-10 years of previous partnership, sponsorship sales, and development experience (having procured at leastScope and depth of technical skills/knowledge:Demonstrated strong sales experience.Excellent strategic planning skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Strong track record of corporate relationship building and closing deals.Excellent writing and organizational skills.Demonstrated ability to be an effective negotiator.Ability to lead, coach, and supervise direct reports.Experience with Salesforce.Scope and depth of nontechnical skills/knowledge:Strong project management skills and individual initiative.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.Results oriented, with a focus on meeting or exceeding revenue targets.Curious mindset with a willingness to explore new opportunities and innovative ideas.Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.Collaborate effectively in teams and across departmental boundaries.Strong facilitation, team building, and coaching skills.Demonstrated ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously while under pressure and meeting deadlines.Ability and flexibility to travel.F.
