Job Title: Underground Mobile Mechanic
Department: Operations
Reports to: Maintenance Superintendent
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THIS JOB(Summary)
This position's primary focus is daily Jumbo and Bolter repair and maintenance. This also includes but is not limited to LHDs, Haul trucks, and other utility equipment. FIFO positions with 7 days on, 7 days off rotation. Potential 1-year mobile maintenance support contract.

Proactively recognize and correct as needed any perceived health and safety hazards or infractions and report same to management.
Client Relations
Monitor and report on project performance according to client and Cementation requirements.
Address client concerns in a timely manner working diligently to answer their questions and/or solve problems/issues.
Functional Responsibilities
Utilizes proper procedures for mechanical duties and strictly adhere to the project lock out policy.
Daily maintenance checks/pre-PM inspections at the heading for Bolters and jumbos in operation.
Routine services based off percussion hours and engine operating hours.
Maintenance troubleshooting and repair work.
Assist in developing routine maintenance procedures specific to equipment.
Assist in training LF mobile maintenance mechanics on maintenance procedures.
Ability to train upcoming mechanics on routine tasks.
Long term rebuilds and repairs.
Major component replacements.
Complete repairs identified during service.
Advanced Troubleshooting, maintenance troubleshooting, and repair to electrical and hydraulic systems.
Utilization of OEM diagnostic software for troubleshoot & repairs.
Equipment disassembly/reassembly for transporting underground.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
High School Diploma, Technical degree, or equivalent preferred
At least 5 years of mechanical underground experience required.
Extensive bolter and Jumbo knowledge.
Must provide basic mechanical tooling for day-to-day tasks.
Certificate(s), License(s), Registration(s)
MSHA Underground Certification
Valid Drivers License
Computer Applications Used
Basic understanding and experience with computers is preferred.
