Position Overview:
As a Licensed Project Architect, you will play a key role in the design and execution of our projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in guiding projects from concept to completion, collaborating with clients, engineers, and project teams to deliver outstanding architectural solutions. This is a full-time position with the potential for equity participation, offering competitive compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets. Collaborate with stakeholders to establish project goals and strategies.
Design Development: Lead the architectural design process, translating client requirements into innovative and functional design solutions.
Construction Administration: Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design intent, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing project updates and addressing concerns to foster strong client relationships. Maintaining regular communication with Contractors as applicable.
Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to integrate engineering systems and sustainability measures into design plans.
Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control processes to deliver projects that meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
Documentation: Prepare drawings, specifications, and other project documentation with precision and attention to detail.
Supervision: Management of architectural team and accurate, regular reporting to President.
Characteristics of our Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as a Project Architect overseeing medium to large-scale projects.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
Licensed Architect with Illinois registration.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Highly organized with the ability to manage deadlines.
Proactive self-starter who excels both independently and collaboratively.
Detail-oriented with strong quantitative and organizational skills.
Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work.
Working knowledge of architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
- Ability to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as required.
