Berry Jewelry is a 30+-year-old jewelry brand that designs private label jewelry. The brand's jewelry line can currently be found in specialty and department stores throughout the U.S. and Canada. The in-house design team draws inspiration from the colors, textures, and designs gathered through global travels, offering an amazing variety of elegant costume jewelry and hair accessories.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchase Specialist. The Purchase Specialist will be responsible for managing the purchase process, creating purchase orders, and analyzing purchase data using analytical skills.
- Working with product design and development team to source and negotiate cost with our overseas vendor partners.
- Insure product samples are shipped on a timely basis to meet the deadlines of our fashion retail customers, and communicate any concerns or issues to the necessary individuals within the organization.
- Create purchase orders to suppliers with detailed instructions and follow up on order status. Communicate to the sales team any delays or issues that arise during the production process.
- Work closely with our Asia office team members to resolve any development, quality, or production issues to insure the demands of customers are exceeded.
Qualifications
- Purchasing Processes and Purchase Management skills
- Purchase Orders and Purchasing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented and able to work effectively under pressure and deadlines
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in the fashion and/or jewelry industry is a plus
