Are you a creative mind with a passion for design? V-Tech Solutions, Inc., is on the lookout for a dynamic Junior Graphic Designer to be a key player in the Product Development team for our elite client.
The Junior Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and producing publication layouts, graphics, and other materials (print and digital) that adhere to brand guidelines, along with designing, tracking, and overseeing the development, posting, and production of publications. As a member of the Product Development team, you will participate in strategic planning and in assessing and recommending changes for improving and streamlining processes. Experience or familiarity with child welfare or human services is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop digital and print materials, from social media graphics and fact sheets to banners, infographics, and publications. GIFs and videos? Bonus points!
- Adhere to brand guidelines and deliver projects punctually.
- Layout and format documents and publications with precision.
- Ensure compliance with the Rehabilitation Act (Section 508) in all deliverables.
- Coordinate and track the review and approval process for publications, both internally and externally.
- Oversee production and posting of print and web PDF products.
- Collaborate with Library Services, Web, Distribution, and Outreach teams to effectively disseminate products.
- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to process improvement within the Product Development team.
- Navigate Content Management System to troubleshoot publication resource detail pages on the website.
- Assist in product quality assurance reviews and collaborate with the Evaluation and Web teams to gather usage data on publications.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 2+ years of graphic design experience.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Familiarity with Content Management System and basic HTML.
- Strong understanding of design principles for print, digital, and multimedia.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to recommend effective solutions.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members, vendors, and client staff.
- Samples of graphic design or layout work utilizing InDesign or similar software required, with a narrative describing role and involvement from conception through finalization.
Preferred Qualifications:- Familiarity with Section 508 compliance standards to ensure digital content accessibility.
- Understanding of print production via the Government Printing Office (GPO).
Salary Description
$20 - $30 / hour
