Ecommerce Analyst

Position Overview:

Build and optimize BBI s ecommerce measurement and reporting capabilities, to dramatically accelerate ecommerce growth for its direct-to-consumer haircare sites Ouidad, Bioionic, and WetBrush. The person in this role will analyze customer behavior and site performance and turn insights into clear actions and tactics. They will execute full-funnel analyses to understand the end-to-end customer journey. And they will advance BBI's knowledge of the DTC customer and quantify the impact of our efforts across multiple digital marketing channels with both our Acquisition and CRM purchase funnels. The ideal candidate will possess a balance of strong analytical and communication skills.


Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Gather, synthesize, and analyze data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights and uncover opportunities to accelerate ecommerce growth
  • Create and maintain a customer dashboard that tracks customer acquisition & retention metrics such as new v. returning, purchase frequency, purchase recency, customer value, customer cohort value, and customer lifecycle stages
  • Partner with the Ecommerce Marketing & Customer Acquisition Manager to develop a customer value management framework that helps define the digital marketing strategy, spend allocation, market opportunity, and profitability.
  • Help to analyze the onsite and full journey performance by customer segment
  • Measure the impact of business initiatives including referral and loyalty programs, product reviews, sampling campaigns, etc., on sales conversion
  • Review and fine-tune BBI s analytics solutions, including GA4 through detailed event naming, site tagging, property definitions, etc.
  • Be a proactive participant in building and continuously improving BBI s ecommerce data capabilities and quality of analytics
  • Serve as the organizational expert for all ecommerce data-related questions and insights


Required Skills/ Qualifications:

  • Sales driven, customer-focused and results-oriented
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex data from multiple sources into clear conclusions& recommendations
  • Understanding of customer databases & CRM data analytics (Customer Segmentation, Churn, LTV, ACQ metrics, etc)
  • Technical expertise with Python, MS SQL, MS Azure, Power BI and Excel
  • Proficiency in digital marketing and web analytics tools including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Looker, Netsuite.
  • Media Platforms and 3rd party tools such as Shopify, Klaviyo, Daasity, Adwords, DoubleClick, MediaMath
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to operate independently and accurately in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate ownership of role and projects, and unprompted follow-through
  • Ability to build, foster and nurture strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Innovative thinker
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills


Education/ Experience Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree, MBA a plus.
  • 5-7 years ecommerce business intelligence experience, preferably with a DTC or CPG company
