Unique and rewarding opportunities for full-time and part-time House Managers at a private, residential school for intellectually-challenged individuals. Ideal full-time candidate would live on the beautiful 850 acre campus in Frankfort, KY. Regular Full-Time Schedule: 3 weeks on, 1 week off (8-hour work schedule per day with overnight (sleep time) required.)
Job Summary:
The Houseparent embodies the love and understanding a parent provides. The Houseparent provides supervision and care of each student for whom he/she is responsible while on duty.
Major Duties:
- Ensure that each student for who, you are responsible maintains a quality standard of self-care and personal hygiene.
- Ensure that each student is dressed appropriately for the occasion and the weather.
- Ensure that each student s clothes are clean, in good condition, and stored in an appropriate manner.
- Pack for any trip a student may take.
- Serve and supervise all meals according to the nutritional needs of each student and in accordance to the standards set forth by the dietary supervisor.
- Ensure that each student for whom you are responsible has the needed personal care items.
- Administer medications as prescribed by an appropriate medical professional.
- Report all seizures and other medical concerns, in writing, to the Medical Office.
- Report all behavioral problems, in writing, to the Residential Supervisor.
- Address behavior problems in a professional and appropriate manner within the policies of the school.
- Keep the living unit clean at all times.
