Overview

This position is responsible for assisting and supporting the current full time Parking Manager with all parking activities at the Tanger Center and also at the Coliseum Complex as needed. Activities currently exceed twelve hundred (1,200) events annually with revenue exceeding 2 million in the same time period. Additional facilities are being added including the Tanger Center with another 150 performances and additional one million in sales. This position will support oversight of three city garages on Tanger Center performances.

Under supervision of the Parking Services Manager, provides general on site supervision of parking staff, revenue collection and customer service. Responsibilities include training and directing staff, auditing cashiers and performing other related duties as assigned. The primary function of this position is to supervise attendant/cashier staff and oversee parking operations during scheduled events

This role will pay an hourly wage of $18.50 to $20.

About the Venue

The Greensboro Coliseum Complex, commonly referred to as Greensboro Coliseum (the first and biggest building on the site), is an entertainment and sports complex located in Greensboro, North Carolina. Opened in 1959, the complex holds eight venues that includes an amphitheater, arena, aquatic center, banquet hall, convention center, museum, theatre, and an indoor pavilion. It is the home of the UNC Greensboro Spartans men's basketball team, the Greensboro Swarm of the NBA G League, the Carolina Cobras of the National Arena League, as well as the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) with their Men's and Women's basketball tournaments.

Responsibilities
  • Assign and direct staff to duty areas. Recommends scheduling changes and staff assignments for roster employees.
  • Cashiering and cash handling procedures. Maintaining adequate levels of operating change for cashiers and ticket supplies during events.
  • Customer Service/Customer Complaint Supervisor is expected to work with current and future parking attendant staff on skills training when interacting with customers, with an emphasis on difficult customers. This will including greetings, information, traffic direction and the de-escalation of disgruntled patrons.
  • Recommends procedural changes for the parking changes for the parking operations to improve efficiency and customer service.
  • Provides training on work procedures for traffic management and cashier/seller policies/procedures.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience.
  • Driver's License
  • Experience with Two way radios and other general communications devices. General Office Equipment Parking Software.
  • Provide a great customer service experience for guests, client and coworkers.
  • Prior parking experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 25 pounds with or without accommodation
  • Ability to visually observe close, distance, peripheral with or without accommodation
