We offer many growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package, such as paid time off, and 401k, starting within the first month!**About the role**CBRE is seeking a Mid-Level Property Condition Assessor who will travel up to 75% nationwide in order to technically assess commercial site and building systems, and deliver Property Condition Assessment services to a variety of investor and occupier clients! They are established professionals with confidence in their ability to lead assessment teams and mentor junior staff to ensure we continue to strengthen the team s technical skills.Our projects revolve around delivering considered data to demanding clients in a timely manner via effective project management which includes self-scheduling, coordinating, site visits, progress tracking, and final reporting. The assessment reports are created using Microsoft Word and Excel, Quire, and our web based platform FCA Tracker. You will be expected to work independently, or lead project teams based on the level of assessment required by the client, and communicate proactively with leadership throughout the project life cycle.You should be an effective communicator, and teammate, and demonstrate a strong work ethic that colleagues can rally around when project challenges arise. We strive to continually optimize our client value and increase our impact, so we are at the center of why CBRE delivers best-in-class value to our Fortune 500 clientele and beyond.**What you'll do**+ Lead walk-through surveys independently or with a team (from 1 hour to multiple days) to assess the condition of the overall site and building, including the building s operating systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing; fire/life safety; and vertical transportation systems). You should be safety conscious as the assessment will require climbing ladders to access roof areas, or going up in a lift.+ Interview property owners, occupants, key site personnel, and local government officials to obtain information concerning the subject property's condition, and identifying any open or unresolved building, fire or zoning code violations.+ Review repair/improvement cost information, certificate(s) of occupancy, maintenance reports and logs, Building and Fire Department inspection reports, and similar information to resolve the conditions of the buildings and prepare estimated costs to remedy building deficiencies ranging from short-term to up to 50-year capital terms.+ Document the condition and physical deficiencies of a subject property, including its various operating systems by taking representative and detailed photographs of a property s site and building systems.+ Communicating and respecting the contributions of others while achieving client goals.**What you'll need:**Bachelor of Architecture degree, plus a minimum of 5 years of previous commercial building evaluation or commercial design experience.This role requires a general understanding of all site and building components including: Pavement; Landscaping; Building Envelope (exterior walls and roof); Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire & Life Safety systems; and Vertical transportation systems. Familiarity with current ADA standards.Building evaluation, or Property Condition Assessment (PCA) reporting experience.Skills with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Proficiency in Zoom, Chime, Teams, Skype, etc.Preferred Certificates and/or Licenses include+ Licensed Architect (US and /or Canada) preferred.CBRE Carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this Property Condition Assessor position is $80,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $100,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE s applicable benefit program.
