smartdept. inc is searching for a Paid Social Media Specialistfor aMedical Appliance Developmentclient of ours in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will come with 5+ years of relevant paid social media advertising and campaign management experience. This is an on-site,full-time, 12-month contract opportunity in Sunnyvale, CA with potential travel requirements. The pay for this position is expected to be between $50/hr - $58/hr depending on experience level and fit.

This is an exciting role with significant visibility and an opportunity to further define best practices for our client's global social media capability. Reporting to the Sr Group Manager of Social Media-Digital Marketing you will be responsible for the development of our client's paid social media strategy and analytics. As a member of the Brand & Creative team and the larger Corporate Marketing group, you will work cross-functionally to define and deliver meaningful, measurable business impact to internal and external stakeholders worldwide. A successful candidate will bring extensive expertise in paid social media and analytics. The role requires experience in paid social media strategy, analytics, and content development for regulated industries.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the strategy and implementation of our paid social media strategy including the buying, tactical planning, tracking, testing, and reporting across LinkedIn, Meta, Twitter, and YouTube
  • Lead the development of paid, earned, and owned social media analytics measurement frameworks that drive our decision-making, insights, and optimizations
  • Define and standardize our methodology for measuring, forecasting, pacing, targeting, and reporting paid social media effectiveness
  • Drive the development of a paid social media strategy playbook and the continuous education of teams in the advancements in paid social media platforms, best practices, competitive landscape, and innovative strategies
  • Act as a subject matter expert and bridge between teams and agency partners to align paid social media campaigns with strategic goals by building advanced forecasting models and benchmarks
What You'll Need:
  • Minimum 5+ years of paid social media advertising and campaign experience with increasing responsibility in a global brand or agency supporting clients in highly regulated industries such as medical devices, life sciences, or financial services
  • Expertise in crafting playbooks and paid social media strategies to accelerate global growth
  • Fluency across paid social media platforms including LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube, and managing campaign budgets
  • Experience with social media platforms outside the United States (desired not required)
  • Thorough knowledge of platform mechanics, campaign structure, algorithmic delivery, custom audiences, placement, and inventory
  • Experience working with technical teams implementing and optimizing automation into relevant enterprise data warehouses
  • Strong data and analytics background and a keen ability to understand customer data and know how to convert insights into purposeful actions to meet business needs using Google Analytics 4, Excel, and Sprinklr
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills simplifying complex ideas and concepts and making them clear and actionable
  • Demonstrable experience negotiating and creating process-enabling and end-to-end social media workflows in a Scrum environment
