Salary: $32/hrly - $36/hrly


Shift:

8pm 8am: Rotating Shift

or

8am 8pm: Rotating Shift


One week the candidate will work: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

The following week the candidate will work: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday

Summary:


The Maintenance Technician role entails critical responsibilities, demanding a safety-conscious and self-motivated individual with keen attention to detail. Responsible for conducting machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex plastics processing and ancillary equipment, this position emphasizes root cause analysis, swift implementation of solutions, and a dedication to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and effectiveness. Coordinating preventive maintenance activities, providing guidance to peers, and ensuring optimal production, quality, and safety while minimizing costs, energy usage, and waste are vital aspects of this role. Upholding corporate policies and health and safety regulations, the Maintenance Technician significantly contributes to maintaining the highest equipment standards and supporting production operations.


MUST HAVE strong electrical skills, AC/DC troubleshooting, Motor controls and PLC. Any HVAC, welding and fabrication skills are a plus.


Essential Functions:


Demonstrate a safety-first mentality and meticulous attention to detail in all maintenance tasks and assignments.

Utilize root cause analysis and troubleshooting principles to complete tasks effectively and efficiently.

Collaborate as a team member, showing enthusiasm for learning, acting with integrity and caring, valuing all people, and celebrating work well done.

Possess a High School diploma/GED certification, with an Industrial Maintenance degree preferred, or related military or industrial training.

Minimum of five years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with a preference for a plastics background and plastic extrusion experience.

Able to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, climb steps and ladders, and work in a production environment with varying noise levels and temperatures.

Strong computer skills with the ability to input/export information into a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Proficient in electrical and mechanical knowledge, including AC/DC control circuits, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, plumbing, and blue print reading.

Contribute to and utilize the preventive maintenance program to minimize unplanned downtime.

Analyze mechanical and operational problems, plan and execute corrective actions, and make adjustments for safe production and product quality.

Lead production equipment modifications to increase productivity and reduce waste.

Provide critical support for plant and facility maintenance needs to maintain production and delivery commitments.

Position Qualifications


Education:


High School diploma/GED Certification Industrial Maintenance degree preferred.

Related military or industrial training.


Experience / Abilities:


Minimum five years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with a preference for a plastics background and plastic extrusion experience.

Thorough understanding of general and maintenance safe work practices, such as LOTO, Hot Work, Electrical Safety, and PPE.

Proficient in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and electrical distribution ranging from 24 to 480 volts AC/DC.

Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot using schematic diagrams for circuits and assemblies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Ability to diagnose and implement solutions to equipment issues that are electrical, mechanical, or operational in nature.

Computer skills:


Solid computer skills with the ability to input/export information into a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
