Maintenance Supervisor Day Shift


Job Details

Scope: Supervise a small team of 3-4 technicians to provide for the day-to-day maintenance of utility systems, production equipment and facilities. Responsible for supporting production, quality assurance, materials, management, and administration with proper facilities, utilities, and maintenance. This is a day shift position with the hours of 6:00 am - 6:00 pm and an alternating weekly schedule of Week One: Sun, Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat Week Two: Wed, Thurs.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Assign and perform PMs and corrective work orders in GMP environment on
  • Process equipment, cleaning equipment.
  • Assign and perform PMs and corrective work orders on clean utilities like Water for Injection Stills, loops and tanks, purified water generation system and loop, pharm air.
  • Assign priorities of both scheduled and unscheduled work to assure a minimum of production downtime.
  • Ensure 100% PM schedule adherence for the team and work with manufacturing and planners to escalate any schedule conflict.
  • Supervise subordinates to assure compliance with GMP, OSHA, safety and company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates external service providers, if any, during maintenance execution
  • Assist, train and develop subordinates to the highest level of their ability.
  • Is responsible of maintaining team training up to date
  • Review completed documentation including, but not limited to PM's, work orders, building checks and ensure documentation GMP level.
  • Ensure and supervise alarm response during the shift. Utilize the Building Management System to acknowledge, comment and open work orders as needed in order to properly provide traceability in alarms closure.
  • Provide leadership to ensure a safe work environment; Participate in company-wide safety teams, utilizing safety metrics and goals for improvement; Conducts and participates in accident investigations as necessary.
  • Responsible for managing the performance management process of the direct reports including periodic written reviews, coaching, and disciplinary action if required. Manages and resolves conflicts.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED. College degree preferred.
  • Technical/working knowledge of mechanics and utilities, including but not limited to, boilers, air compressors, WFI stills, heat exchangers, pumps, process tanks, agitators, Clean in place skids, ultrafiltration skids, chromatography skids, centrifuges, filter presses
  • Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Pharmaceutical experience, work in GMP environment required
  • Note: This position may require the labeling, packaging or movement of hazardous (flammable, corrosive, toxic, etc.) waste within the facility. If so, this employee would be trained. In lieu of HAZWOPER training, the employee will receive training on the requirements of the New York State hazardous waste management regulations pursuant to 6 NYCRR 373-3.2. All employees that have received the above-mentioned training upon hire will receive annual refresher training that covers the OSHA HAZWOPER standard and the personnel training requirements of the NYSDEC.
