Watchdog Real Estate Project Management is seeking a Project Manager with experience supporting clients as an owner's representative. This role will work on a hybrid schedule based out of Los Angeles with the ability to travel to client projects sites as needed. Management of projects for Institutional/Higher Ed clients is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as owner s representative responsible for overseeing project management duties for major clients.
- Oversee all construction related activities in order to bring projects to completion on time and on budget. These tasks include project planning and design, budgeting, bidding, construction, commissioning, and close out services
- Assess and create solutions to identified concerns and risks that could become potential liabilities.
- Create, develop and manage key relationships with stakeholders including direct client, contractors, and additional vendors.
- Utilize communication to abate conflicts, recommend project solutions, and mitigate risk.
- Point person for lab renovations and cGMP equipment installs - Final Calibrations, Startup Calibrations, and Change Controls.
- Schedule forecasting for lab equipment lead times, MEP Infrastructure changes, cGMP Commissioning and Validation for utilities and equipment.
- Cost forecasting for every scope of service involved in the project.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s Degree with a focus on Construction, Architecture, Engineering or related field.
- 5 to 10+ years of management experience in construction
- Institutional/Higher Ed experience preferred
- Ability to supervise project team members
- CMAR experience is a plus but not required
- Being able to walk the global PMs through best practice to avoid impacts to scope, schedule, or budget for a Capital Project Delivery Program.
- Ability to categorize each project cost as capital or expense to accurately to ensure the Capital Project Delivery Program achieves the target through accurate forecasting.
- Highlighting risks each month that would prevent this from occurring.
