Responsibilities Include:
Verify and separate materials according to type, based on metal, by color, shape, size, marking, or other characteristics as established by company procedure; check for unacceptable materials.
Places materials in bins, loads
Direct traffic flow onto the yard
Monitors movement of customers to appropriate areas of the yard
Organize and/or clean warehouse and yard as needed
Operate mobile equipment including forklift/skid steer
Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures
Excellent customer service
Organize and/or clean the yard as needed
May be trained to perform incoming scrap inspection duties.
May be trained in site specific policies, practices and duties relative to CFC's. These duties include being able to properly identify refrigerant or CFC containing materials such as refrigerators, freezers, MVAC's, coolers, etc.
May be trained in the necessary methods, as required by the EPA, to properly complete necessary documents needed to identify, classify and record the status of CFC containing materials and isolate said materials as required in a safe manner.
May be trained to remove/recover CFC refrigerants utilizing proper recovery tools and equipment and accurately document and record weights of refrigerant recovered and provide the documentation to superiors for recordkeeping purposes and understand the importance of the overall program.
Perform other routine tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by Yard Manager/Supervisor.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
High School Diploma / GED is required
Ability to interact positively with all customers and co-workers
Able to operate in a demanding environment under a variety of climates and condition
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
**GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**
Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
Ability to properly wear all required PPE equipment.
**VISUAL ACUITY:**
Vision abilities required to include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Required to have visual acuity to operate equipment.
**SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY:**
This position does not involve any supervisory responsibility.
**PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:**
Ability to stand constantly throughout shift, walk constantly, frequent use of hands (reach with hands and arms) view kiosk/monitor, speak and hear on a frequent basis. This role requires occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
**WORKING CONDITIONS:**
Laborer is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
