Job Type Full-time Job Function Technical Education High School/GED Job Description *Our transportation team helps improve the connectivity of the community through solutions that support the safe and efficient movement of goods, services and people.* **Responsibilities:**
* Provide design support during the planning, design, and construction of typical civil engineering projects such as roads, bridges, utilities, water/sewer, and various commercial/municipal projects
* Consult on utility relocation of electrical poles/lines and substations, fiber and cable systems
* Develop design concepts and present to client. Prepare documents during design development phase. Correct and update design documents. Develop solutions to design problems.
* Check accuracy of completed work
* Knowledgeable in using industry accepted engineering design software
* Knowledge of standard operations, policies and procedures of a Firm within the A/E industry.
* Ability to demonstrate strong organizational, project, and time management skills. Ability to be proactive in determining the necessary steps to meet objectives and performance expectations of position.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
Minimum Qualifications
* Associates degree in Engineering, Civil, CADD design-related majors
* Minimum of 10 years of transportation design engineering project experience is required.
* Prefer previous work experience with DOT utility projects
* Must have working experience using Microstation, InRoads and GeoPak software
* Must be familiar with DOT plan structure
* Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong team player
