The Director of IT Director is responsible for overseeing and directing the information technology strategy, operations, and initiatives within the organization. This position involves collaborating with other departments, managing IT partners, and aligning IT strategies with the company's overall goals to drive technological innovation, efficiency, and security.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement the overall IT strategy in alignment with the company's business objectives and growth plans.
Collaborate with executive leadership to understand technology needs, propose solutions, and drive IT initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness.
Oversee the design, deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting of IT systems, infrastructure, networks, and applications, ensuring security, and scalability.
Manage companys IT assets and devices.
Manage IT budgets and resources effectively, optimizing expenditure while ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
Evaluate and recommend technology solutions, vendors, and partnerships that align with the company's strategic goals.
Create and maintain technical documentation on system configuration and support resources.
Maintain all business systems and assist with ad-hoc troubleshooting as necessary.
Provide technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to guide technology roadmaps and innovation.
Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security protocols to safeguard company data, intellectual property, and IT assets.
Conduct regular IT audits to assess compliance, security, and efficiency of IT systems.
Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts to ensure IT resilience in the face of potential disruptions.
Foster cross-functional collaboration by partnering with other departments to understand technological needs and facilitate smooth communication.
Lead IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring project goals, timelines, and budgets are met.
Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and regulatory bodies.
Provide regular reports and updates to executive leadership on IT performance, projects, and strategy execution.
Required Experience
IT management: 3 years
(Preferred)
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Proven experience in IT management roles, demonstrating progressive responsibility.
Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, software development, cybersecurity, HIPAA compliance and emerging technologies.
Experience with strategic planning, budget management, and resource allocation.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to make strategic decisions and guide teams in resolving technical challenges.
Project management expertise, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, PMP, ITIL) are a plus.
