Packer- 1st Shift 5am-4pm

We are seeking multiple, reliable, and motivated full-time Packers for a food manufacturing facility located on the Southwest of Chicago, IL. This role is temp to perm for individuals who perform well.

Compensation: $17/hr plus benefits

Shift: 10-hour Shift, working 4 days out the week (Weekends off).

Packer Job Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Packer, you have a passion for great service and ensure the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. You take pride in assuring orders are picked and packed correctly, taking care to minimize any quality issues. A warehouse clerk consistently meets or exceeds the daily production goals and is comfortable performing these duties in a warehouse environment and in accordance with our Core Values.

• Monitor products on conveyor, stack product to specified height, and remove broken, damaged, or discolored product from the production flow.
• Place product into feeder conveyor, insuring proper alignment.
• Stack products onto carts or into containers when packaging machinery is not in operating mode.
• Pack wrapped product into cartons, monitor quality of cartons from carton machine.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and foster a safe work environment.
• Fill customer and store orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Work on the warehouse floor in any area as needed.
• Work with a sense of urgency and care, assuring individual and department daily production goals are met or exceeded.
• Follow all department best practices and procedures.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma (required).
• Must be flexible with schedule.
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience (required).
• Can multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate ability to work in a safe manner at all times.
• Possess basic written and verbal communication skills as well as mathematical skills.
