Position Summary

The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

The CDD is seeking a highly skilled Systems/Network Analyst 2 to join our Technology Services team to provide information technology in support of CDD programs.This position will update and maintain approximately 20 servers hosting a variety of services.The successful applicant will have experience maintaining Windows Servers and services, be detail oriented, and committed to quality documentation.This position is an excellent opportunity to further develop system administrator skills in an environment that provides full exposure to the components that make up enterprise IT.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Implement and maintain a variety of services and servers in a Hyper-V Windows Server environment including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SQL, IIS, e-fax, file servers, and print management.
  • Develop and maintain current Windows Server and desktop system images using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit.
  • Prepare information system documentation including system configuration, build documents, and procedures.
  • Provide instruction and training to Technology Services staff on use and best practice for the systems we support.
  • Provide second tier troubleshooting and technical support for the Technology Services help desk.
  • Participate in the analysis of user needs to select appropriate systems and applications in support of Technology Services and CDD programs.
  • Participate in feasibility studies and surveys, including economic evaluation of proposed and existing information systems and applications.
  • Collaborate with other UNM departments to select, implement and adapt new and existing information systems for University-wide use.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree;at least 1 year of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manage Windows Server and services including Active Directory, file services, print services, backup, updates, and patch management.
  • Support Windows operating systems including creating and deploying system images.
  • Provide technical customer service for a multifaceted organization of more than 200 end-users
  • Committed to quality documentation of system configuration and management.
