Purpose:

The purpose of the talent acquisition manager is to strategically identify, attract, and retain top talent to meet our client's current and future staffing needs. This process goes beyond simply filling vacancies; it involves understanding the organization's goals and culture, forecasting future workforce requirements, and implementing effective recruitment strategies to ensure the right people are in the right roles at the right time.


Key Responsibilities:

As a Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM) for our client in Alexandria, VA, your primary responsibilities will include:


1. Talent Acquisition: You'll be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent for various positions within their restaurants and management located in their Virginia, Washington DC and Florida Markets. This involves understanding the staffing needs of each restaurant location and collaborating with hiring managers to identify the skills and qualities required for each role.


2. Job Posting and Advertising: You'll create, and audit existing compelling job descriptions and advertisements tailored to attract candidates for both front-of-house, back-of-house and management positions. This may involve utilizing online job boards, social media platforms, and other recruiting channels to reach a diverse pool of applicants.


3. Candidate Screening and Selection: The Talent Acquisition Manager will review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and schedule interviews with potential candidates. This includes assessing candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit with the company's values and team dynamics.


4. Interview Coordination: The Talent Acquisition Manager will coordinate and facilitate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and efficient interview process. This may involve scheduling multiple rounds of interviews and providing candidates with necessary information about the company's restaurants and culture.


5. Onboarding and Orientation: Once candidates are hired, the Talent Acquisition Manager will oversee the onboarding process to ensure a seamless transition for new employees. This involves conducting orientation sessions, assisting with paperwork and documentation, and providing necessary training materials. Presentation skills & creativity are required.


6. Candidate Relationship Management: The Talent Acquisition Manager will maintain relationships with candidates throughout the hiring process, providing timely communication and feedback to ensure a positive candidate experience. Additionally, you'll build a talent pipeline for future hiring needs and maintain contact with potential candidates for future opportunities.


7. Recruitment Strategy and Planning: The Talent Acquisition Manager will collaborate with the company's management team and leadership team to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies that align with the company's growth objectives. This will involve analyzing recruitment metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition.


8. Meeting Business Objectives: Talent acquisition aligns with the organization's overall strategic goals and objectives by ensuring that it has the necessary talent to drive success. This includes filling critical roles, current and future expansion into new markets, and supporting growth initiatives.


9. Enhancing Employer Brand: The Talent Acquisition Manager will have experience in developing a strong talent acquisition strategy and can enhance an organization's employer brand by showcasing its values, culture, and opportunities for career growth. Positive employer branding helps attract top candidates, reduces recruitment costs, and improves employee retention.


10. Mitigating Skills Gaps: The Talent Acquisition Manager will address skills gaps within the organization by identifying areas of need and proactively recruiting individuals with the required expertise. Qualifications:



  • Minimum 2 years experience as a talent acquisition manager or related field/experience in a high-volume hospitality/restaurant environment. Demonstrated success in sourcing, screening, and hiring hourly and salary candidates.


  • Fluency in the Spanish Language is highly desired to both support both interviewing and conducting new team member orientations.


  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical for building relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders. The Talent Acquisition Manager will effectively communicate job requirements, engage candidates, and negotiate job offers.
