GENERAL SUMMARY
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to coordinating shipment of inventory and/or materials, receiving purchased and manufactured goods.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintaining inventory integrity by performing cycle count activities
Filling and issuing orders and/or back orders to authorized personnel
Housekeeping practices in the stockroom area
Loading trucks and UPS shipments
Performing basic machine assembly when necessary
Indicating routing and arranging for proper shipping procedures
Abides by all policies, procedures, and guidelines of the company including good common sense safety practices.

Performs all job assignments as instructed by the Group Lead, Manufacturing Supervisor, Plant Manager and/or Vice President, Operations.
POSITION IMPACT
The Shipping/Receiving Lead is accountable to accurate processing of the receipts of goods and rectifying inventory issues.

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); five years related shipping/receiving experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to other employees of organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Forklift Certification
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must be able to operate forklift and overhead crane. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds 2/3 of the time and up to 50 pounds 1/3 of the time. Must demonstrate working knowledge of computers, i.e. Windows. Experience in ERP systems as well as basic knowledge of freight rates and discount systems is highly desirable.
