Senior Inventory Control Specialist

RED Digital Cinema, a world-class brand that sits at the nexus of technology and media and entertainment production, is seeking a Sr. Inventory Control Specialist to serve as an indispensable component to overall inventory management at our corporate offices in Foothill Ranch. The successful candidate will perform a multitude of inventory control tasks, including administering and managing the daily cycle count program, research & reconcile cycle count discrepancies, reporting to management on Inventory metrics, help coordinate physical inventory counts, support the implementation of Engineering Change Orders & help oversee RED s offsite inventories. This position reports directly to the Inventory Control Manager and regularly interacts with ALL internal departments.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and process daily and weekly inventory adjustments and changes.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of weekly and monthly reporting of inventory control results and activities from the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
  • Develop, maintain, and evaluate queries and reports from the ERP system to support inventory control activity, analysis, and reporting.
  • Review existing business processes and logic that impact inventory throughout the company through personal observation and user interaction.
  • Develop new applications and tools as well as ad hoc and refreshable reports to help with root cause analysis or to streamline related processes.
  • Develop deep understanding of ERP features and functionality to facilitate analysis, interface with users from the department and IT and resolve issues.
  • Create Policies & Procedures, SOPs and other Work Instructions to aid in the proper management of the Inventory.


The Sr. Inventory Control Specialist should be able to demonstrate a collaborative work style, strong leadership skills and should have the ability to take proper decisions and action whenever any demanding situation arises. They should have excellent oral and written communication skills. Good analytical and organizational skills with experience in project management would be an advantage. They should want to learn every detail related to inventory business. They should be able to enjoy clerical and administrative work with good planning and numerical skills. They should have a methodical approach to completing the assigned work and should pay great attention to detail.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • B.S. degree in business, supply chain, engineering, other relevant field of study or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in inventory management, manufacturing/production, and operational procedures preferred.
  • Experience in a WMS environment strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing environments, including purchasing, inventory, and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting.
  • Experience and proficiency with ERP systems; NetSuite/Oracle experience a plus.
  • Microsoft Office product experience and proficiency Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Data mining skills with the ability to develop analytics for specific measurements.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with project management and team leadership.
  • Role model for exacting standards of professionalism.
  • APICS-CPIM preferred.
