Our client, a B2B tech company, is looking for a Global Events Specialist to join their team. This is a 1-year contract, onsite for events as needed.


$57 - $62/hr

We are looking for an enthusiastic Global Events Specialist who is passionate about executing and working in a team environment across our portfolio of events. This position will report directly to the Director, Head of Global Events


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support event planning and execution deliverables (may include giveaways, gamification, housing support, expo pass distribution)
  • Be on-site at events to provide operational support (registration desk, booth staffing, etc)
  • Provide hospitality service support at executive events (book and manage customer and executive transportation, on-site host services, food and beverage coordination)
  • Support speaker management activities including: organizing speaker training, scheduling reviews and rehearsals, managing speaker communications and speaker related forms, as well as providing virtual speaker support for online events and/or on-site speaker support
  • Work directly with content owners to drive deliverables to deadlines
  • Support team budget management (including requesting purchase orders, tracking spend, mapping expenses)
  • Effective project management including creation, ownership and adherence to timelines and templates



Skills:

  • 3+ years experience in Marketing/Marketing support (hospitality or event experience preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Detail- and service oriented
  • Creative, collaborative, and resourceful
  • Proven passion for learning and growth
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Positive and motivated self-starter
  • Budget tracking experience preferred
