What You Need:

  • Associate or bachelor s degree in business, communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in a manufacturing environment required and 2-3 years experience managing a sales or customer service team.
  • Proficient in data entry and working with ERP software, preferably Datacor (formerly Chempax)
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Excellent employee relation, problem solving and customer service skills.


What Your Role Will Look Like:

The Inside Sales Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the customer service department while providing leadership, support, and training to the customer service team to facilitate a culture of efficiency and customer advocacy.

  • Lead and influence the performance of the service team.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the customer service department as well as communicating any revisions to the service team.
  • Interface with sales department to process and interpret complex, less-clearly defined issues outside of SOPs.
  • Responsible for development and implementation of formal customer service training programs to educate and ensure team compliance of all company and departmental SOPs.
  • Audit and maintain customer master data as well as enter and update product pricing in customer files in ERP system.
  • Handle day-to-day customer support activities for specific accounts as needed.
  • Lead weekly service team meetings.
  • Manage employee schedules by approving vacation requests, coordinating break and meal periods, and ensuring appropriate coverage of work is available.
  • Complete semi-annual performance reviews of service team.
  • Ensure team compliance of all company and departmental policies, procedures, and programs.
