The department has 41 full-time sworn officers, 21 full-time non-sworn staff, two non-sworn part-time staff and 92 seasonal staff. The department has opportunities to join our specialty units (Detectives, ACO, SRO, SWAT, Motorcycle unit, Marine Unit, Neighborhood Officer, and Airport Officer) after just 1 year on the job. Officers work on the Pitman schedule to offer community support and protection 24/7.
