Language Bridge, LLC is a professional interpretation and translation agency founded in 1996 by Mila Dubinchik MD, PhD. Our mission is to improve multilingual business relations and enhance healthcare and educational access to those with limited English skills. We offer both interpretation and written translation services to clients, specifically law firms, businesses, and hospitals. Our interpreters are proficient in over 95 languages and dialects, and we continue to add more as the immigrant and refugee population becomes more diverse.
Role Description
This is an on-site contract role for an Interpreter. The Interpreter will be responsible for providing professional interpretation services to clients for whom English is not their first language. This includes interpreting conversations between patients seeking medical care and their healthcare providers, law firms and their clients, and students and parents with their schools.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Khmer
- Experience in professional interpretation
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Medical, legal, or educational interpretation experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in linguistics, translation, interpretation, or related field is preferred
