Salary: $55k Base + Sign On Bonus + Competitive Benefits!

Job Summary

As a substance use disorder counselor, your primary role is to assist individuals struggling with addiction in their journey towards recovery and sobriety. You'll conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' unique backgrounds and needs, developing personalized treatment plans that address their substance use, mental health concerns, and social factors.

Job Responsibilities

Assessment: Conduct initial assessments to evaluate clients' substance use history, mental health status, and treatment needs.

Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, setting specific goals and objectives for clients' recovery.

Counseling: Provide individual and group counseling sessions to help clients explore and understand the underlying issues contributing to their substance use, develop coping skills, and support their recovery process.

Education: Offer education and information about substance use disorders, addiction, recovery principles, and healthy lifestyle choices to clients and their families.

Case Management: Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, social services agencies, and community resources to provide comprehensive care and support for clients.

Monitoring and Progress Evaluation: Regularly monitor clients' progress in treatment, adjust treatment plans as needed, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.

Qualifications: Substance Use Disorder Counselor (LSUDC, or ASUDC). A certificate in substance use disorder counseling licensed through DOPL. Must comply with annual TB tests, Flu, and other immunizations. Must meet employment eligibility. First Aid and CPR Certification (available at company) Must comply with annual TB tests and Flu immunization Must meet employment eligibility Must be able to work variable shifts as needed Oversee a caseload of up to 12 clients Update treatment plans and complete utilization reviews biweekly or monthly, depending on the level of care.
