Job DescriptionLocation: Elkridge, MD
Shift: Monday - Friday 7am-4pm
Pay: $19.16/hr
Position: Forklift Operator will work in collaboration with other forklift operators, truck drivers, and general laborers in order to achieve performance goals. This individual will work in a team to load and unload vehicles, while safely utilizing forklifts to complete tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities: - Safely operate forklift to load and unload products from commercial vehicles and put away finished goods.
- Receive and physically inspect products to ensure quality standards.
- Bring consumables to the production areas as needed
- Always maintain equipment in an operating function and cleaned at the end of each shift.
- Partners with the yard supervisor to handle discrepancies, malfunctions, and potential issues.
- Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
- Collaboratively works with team to take on additional duties as needed
QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities: - An Excellent Communicator; actively reports on issues and progress.
- Safety-Focused; Operates equipment according to safety standards.
- Time Management; comfortable with time-driven deadlines and goals.
Education and Experience: - 1+ year (s) experience as a sit-down forklift operator, or relevant work.
- Familiarity with forklift operation and safety.
- High School Diploma (preferred).
