Job Details
There will be a 10-day probationary period that must be successfully completed.
Day 1 is a 11:00 am - 7:00 pm shift. This is for orientation.
Days 2 through 10 are a 10:00 am 6:00 pm shift.
- This position requires the candidate to work every other Saturday after their probationary period has been successfully completed!
- During the probationary period the candidate will be exposed to several aspects of production.
- They will be evaluated on their skill set, their behavior, their bedside manner and their ability to take instructions and apply.
- The candidate is allowed 0.5 attendance points during the probationary period.
- Instances where the candidate exceeds 0.5 attendance points the candidate would not be allowed to continue working.
- The candidate will be moved to a 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm shift once they have successfully completed their probationary period.
- The candidate will also be expected to perform all duties that would fall under the Production Assistant umbrella.
- Production Assistant operates automated and non-automated bindery equipment for digital printing support services to satisfy the needs of internal and external customers.
- Additionally, a Production Assistant is also responsible for Large Format Printing/Finishing operations and materials handling and shipping (outbound).
- This person promotes customer satisfaction through the effective production and execution of daily work assignments, individual workflow management, and the execution of ongoing quality control procedures.
- This position executes required order workflow management scans to ensure the capture of order completion, quality control, and productivity data.
Responsibilities:
- Operates bindery equipment to successfully produce consistent quality documents to customer specifications.
- Performs material handling (logistics outbound) duties including final quality control checks, boxing, packaging and labeling customer orders.
- Reads and Interprets job tickets. (Emphasis on Bindery/Finishing/Large Format/Shipping)
- Scans all work in the order management system to ensure required control points have been completed and accountability opportunities are captured throughout the process.
- Ensures that the quality of production work complies with client policies and procedures.
- Maintains organizational compliance within the production workplace.
- Communicates all machine service breakdowns and ongoing maintenance needs to a member of the RPC leadership team.
- Performs routine daily machine maintenance and equipment calibration as specified by RPC Standard Operating Procedures.
- Provides support to Production Specialist by way of digital print paper replenishment/output offloading/bay materials support and trash cleanup.
- Performs any duties within the RPC as assigned by the Shift Operations Lead or the Production Facility Manager.
